There was a english-subtext package included "NehrimEnglish.esp" Just activate that one and it should be good.

However I do wish they would have included some of the more sanity mods (like a takes all and toggleable quantity)

I just could not ever get into the game, so I uninstalled it. Just my opinion I guess. It is not a bad mod, just didnt care for it myself.
Just another note of caution, running the game did corrupt some of my saves from the original game. Some of the save games from Oblivion work fine, but when I load one of the saves, I just get a bunch of sickly greenish-yellow polygons.

they need a English mod for the mod! hehe but so far its rather good just wish i could read the txt

Google it and there's a english patch for the english translation on Nexus. I applied it before I started so if there are issues I don't know what it actually changes, it just said it makes the trans make more sense. So far I haven't had any issues

I haven't had any issue with english translations included with the official download so far. I just made it out of the mine, and I thought it was really well done. I like the experience based leveling system.

I've had some glitches in the scripted events so far, but this is obilivion so I think that is to be expected. Save often, and keep plenty of saves.

My character just left Tirin Abbey. Cleared out a couple of camps and dungeons, explored a bit, and finished off some of the early quests. I'm really enjoying it so far. The world is beautifully done, and the ambient sounds and music are top-notch as well (albeit with a few glitches). If I have any complaint it's that the first few quests have been, well, a little silly. Now that my character is off and searching for his roots and the Sanctum I expect things will get a bit more serious.

Oh, and should note that running on Windows 7/64 I am still getting glitches and crashes. I definitely recommend saving often.

ohh got the english copy. wich is good my German is very rusty.

its a good mod. the graphics are great. i just got to the abbey. the rat quest was a pain in the ass. i should have taken a screen shot. i swear i had maybe 1000 rats in the one corner heh.

The landscaping is very nicely done, might be even better than Oblivion Unique Landscapes mod. The distant blurring is bothering and I definitely dislike the leveling system. Oh and the open cities is considerable hit to the fps.

Yeah I have to say the distant blurring is overdone. It's blurred to the point that it's very noticeable.

I have played quite a bit of this game,I found it slow to start with and the random crashes(lockups ) were annoying which is a well known problem,bit ironic as this is the only mod that can even make my PC crash out of the many games I have installed.

Anyway I'm going to stick with it for awhile and hopefully it will improve,for a free mod I can't really complain.

Hmm I found using tll (toggle land lods) does help in at least the one city. I'll have to try that one oblivion next time I play it.

I just reinstalled Oblivion off Steam and finished installing this conversion. Do I need to install any of the other mods for Oblivion like Qarls Texture Pack or does this guy do everything?

I'm not sure if Qarls will work (I imagine it should...)
There's a few mods they should have incorporated, but it should be good to go.

no.
in fact you need to turn off all other mods to use this. it has its own launcher to help.

its well worth the download the graphics are good. the story is good

Nah, not exactly true. It does have its own launcher, but you can use Qarls and other mods with it. The best way to do this is to install OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) into the Nehrim folder (parent folder of Data directory, just like when installing it for Oblivion), and then copy Oblivion_default.ini in from your Oblivion install.

There are a couple of pages out there describing how to get mods working with Nehrim. I'm using Qarls, and it looks great.

Wanted to mention that I went into the settings page of the diary and turned off "Depth of Field." That removed the out-of-focus effect on distant objects and I saw an immediate performance improvement. I had dropped down to 16x10 to try for better performance in the city, and was able to go back to 19x12 after disabling that feature.

Also disabling distance land lods helps a lot in the open cities.

Oh A Takes All mod does work right of the box, you just need to copy the obse stuff into the Nerhim folder and run obse_loader.exe instead of oblivion.exe. (Also need to download and activate the take all mod to). This way instead of having to always hit "Take All" on containers, corpses, etc, just hit the "a" key.

Thanks for the info, i'm going to try this tonight to see if I get better performance in cities as that's always bugged me.

MY Character looks like INDIANA JONES, and I replaced all the Guards with appropriate NAZI, SS, and Wehrmacht clothing.

Every "Guttentag" that a guard does MAKES me piss him off then I run away from all the&#65279; NAZIs on my Horse. This game is tits.

Guys the latest patch helps a lot with stability,I have not had a crash since I installed the patch.

Thanks for the heads up man. I still need to finish the game so i'll apply the new patch next time I play.

You're welcome,btw stability in general after more playing hours with latest patch is good,I have only had one crash while in game,up to level 26 now .

I still get the odd exit crash when you exit game but can live with that.
I expect another patch down the road but they are making headway.

Anybody still playing this game?..I'm on and off,playing Fallout :New Vegas at the moment.

I have to say I think Nehrim seems bigger playing area then the original Oblivion.
