Netflix's new website/UI sucks

I forgot there is another option. There is a standalone app for pc that was written for instant watching. It downloads the entire database from netflix so searches are local. It does take about 1 hour to update but is really fast after that. A good example of what someone can do with the netflix api. It does not require sagetv.

I do not like it either. And the past two times I have gone to netflix.com on my computer it has taken me to netflix.com/wiihome/ for some reason.

, it always takes me to that page. Has done so for probably well over a year now.


But yes it sucks, not being able to see the title and rating is plain stupid. Plus when you click the icon wanting more information it starts to play. I really hope they work on this and fix it. I do like that it now uses more screen real estate though.

When did it change? Today? I was just using it last night and it seemed the same to me.

I'm wondering the same thing. My netflix on ps3 has been sidescrolling for the last few months.

I agree with the majority though, I liked the older category/genre search better, it was easier to find things, and there were more results broken down into specific areas.

I don't, either. I assume it's a relatively idle web design department trying to prove they are worth their paychecks. I completely stopped visiting bloomberg.com last year after their website looked like a generic placeholder for a domain name. I mean, really, this is a piece of sh*t: http://www.bloomberg.com/

Whoever thought this was a good idea should be beaten to death with a bag of dicks.

They also removed the option to hide all previously rated films. Now majority of films appearing in lists is shit I've already seen.
