Netgear MA101 and Windows XP

Anyone able to get a Netgear MA101 working on Windows XP? I install the drivers and it detects the adapter fine. The built in XP wireless utility detects my WAP and I try to connect to it but it won't let me. Just tells me there are more than one wireless network detected, then only shows me my one WAP and says network cable disconnected. Also, with version 2.0+2.1 of the driver, the Netgear utility doesn't install properly and with version 1.1 it works but gives me an error message. It works fine with Windows 2000 connecting to the same WAP. I called Netgear support and they were less than helpful. Any ideas?

Setup your WAP with a name and channel other than the defaul. You may have someone else in your neighborhood using Netgear stuff. I have a similar problem in my neighborhood, someone else had a network called default using channel 6. I changed my network name and channel and it worked just fine.
