Netscape Messenger IMAP & POP access?

hi:

on Outlook i can check both POP3 and IMPAP email accounts. however, it appears Netscape (v4.72) Mail program wont allow me to check both. Once I added the POP3 account to the email server, when I proceed to add IMPAP it stops me and says I can only check MULTIPLE IMAP accounts.

Does anyone know a way around this? Or is Messenger just a crappy email program?

that's a "feature" in netscape messenger (4.7x and below)
you can only have one POP3 account, or you can have multiple IMAP accounts.
there is no way to have both on one profile
if you want multiple accounts, and mix pop3/imap, create a different profile for each POP3 accounts and create one profile for multiple IMAP account.

otherwise, Mozilla can handle mixed email mode (better than outlook)
Netscape 6.x can handle multiples as well, since it's a Mozilla spinoff.....
