Networking Issue involving 2 DSL lines

my network setup is like this: one business DSL line that has 6 workstations all connected to one Domain controller that is the server. the second DSL line is a residential line that has one computer hooked up for it. I would like to give the one computer access to my domain controller so we can share files. How would I do this? I would like to give the single computer the ability to log on to my domain whenever he wishes.

Add a second NIC to the single system, set it up on the same subnet as the domain the other six are on, add the correct gateway, and plug it in to the switch. Should work, or might just be a wild guess.

The six existing systems are plugged in to a switch, or maybe a hub if it's a bit older network - unless it's wireless?

yeah, the six computers are on a hub along with the server. but i thought you were talking about plugging the laptop into some sort of switch, my mistake. But i still can't add another NIC card to the laptop...in the past, i would just remove the default gateway and give the laptop a static ip, and configure it to "log onto Windows NT domain". but there must be a better way of accessing the domain, what about VPN?

What you need to do... connect the laptop to a hub or switch.. connect the DSL line to the "uplink" port on the hub/switch. Then connect a crossover cable from the laptop's hub to the other network's switch.

I just did thit with another laptop.

I installed a program that let's you choose between different network setups. When shutting down the computer it ask's you to choose the network setup you will use the next boot. Works great.
