The review:

Pros: The size is awesome. Worked right out of the box. Works with XP and Vista. I'll discover tomorrow if this runs with Win7. Sleek, attractive design and takes little space.

Cons: States 2.0 USB. Don't be fooled, it's 1.6, Increasing my back up by 2x the amount of time.

Other Thoughts: I love Seagate and, honestly, all of my internal hard drives are Seagate as well. When I've suggested Seagate to others, they've purchased based upon my recommendation. This External HD I will not recommend, unless the person is only looking to back up documents. However, it is sufficient to my needs--backing up until I install Win7, it's just going to take more time than I anticipated.


What is USB 1.6?
Does it exist, or is this just another dumbass who thinks they know more than they do, like the review two down from this one that says he returned it because it didn't work with his Mac. (Drives are NTFS formatted, but can be reformatted to FAT32, etc to work with a Mac.)

I have never heard of USB 1.6. There is only USB 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0. Also usb 3.0 is soon to be released. He might have meant usb 1.1 but made a type. Although I'm curious how he came to this conclusion. Did he benchmark it? He might also have a problem with his usb ports that cause them to run at 1.1 speeds.
