Never seen this happen

I have this weird thing happening. A new folder gets created on my desktop every now and then. Its gets the default name always as "New Folder" and when I delete it, it comes back in about an hour or so. I really dont know why it comes. I ran Ad aware, Spybot, Microsoft's anti spyware. Nothing found so far.

Has anybody seen this before? Am scared!

Is it a link to a new folder?
What OS are you running - if NT based, are you running as admin or limited user?

Windows XP pro, I am the only user and thus admin...
Its just a new folder that gets created on the desktop

You ran Spyware and Adware cleaners, but did you run a virus scan? Just wondering, could be that too

I just tried Spyware Doctor. Same problem continues.

I never had that problem on my home PC, but at work we use Real Player to watch company broadcasts. Everytime I use it, I have a folder called "New Floder" on my desktop. I think it has something to do with the streaming of the video. Probably not related to your problem, but I figured I would throw it out there.

Uninstalled that piece of sh!t real player....lets see if that helps..

Ok, I think it is windows media player....I think everytime I delete the new folder and open Windows media player(10), it appears back. Anyone know of any settings in the player?
