From industrial to family friendly pop to indie rock to... well, to Blondie rapping about a thing from Mars eating cars, there's all sorts of stuff going on in next week's DLC. Enjoy!

I know it's another Christian band to many, but I always liked the song "Jesus Freak".

The Decemberists song will be somewhat interesting.

Here's a preview of some DLC that is still 3 weeks out. Billboard is reporting that a Disturbed 3-pack will be released for Rock Band on August 24th.

"They are the Xbox artist of the month, and we have created a game called 'Escape From the Asylum,' which will launch online in August," he says. "They've done tons of synchs in videogames, and we are releasing a three-pack for 'Rock Band' on Aug. 24, and working on something with 'Guitar Hero,' too."

Just noticed Juanes in there... awesome. Thanks for keeping this thread going. I'll probably check it more often now that my 8 year old and 4 year old are growing more fond of the plastic music instrument.

ugh I was trying to beat seize the day on guitar and failed at 97%, some of the parts in the solos are pretty ridiculous, well really just the alternate fingering parts that are insanely fast. I wish they would release more DLC from different bands, it seems like they release a crap load of tracks from certain bands.

Here's an interesting find from a Miley Cyrus DLC commercial - it has a shot in it that appears to reveal part of an upcoming 3-pack from Ministry, including "Jesus Built My Hot Rod" which has been rumored in the past. The other two visible songs are "Cuz U R Next" (already released) and "Stigmata" (new).

Remember this Ministry screenshot from the Miley commercial? There's an unofficial report now that the new Ministry pack is coming next week.

Ministry Added to Rock Band Video Game

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that they're adding the Ministry classics "Jesus Built My Hotrod," "Stigmata," and "Thieves" to the Rock Band Music Store for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii on August 10. If you want to get them, look for Ministry Pack 02, which should be going for $1.99. All were taken from the original master recordings.

That's not very well-written, obviously the whole pack won't cost $1.99, but you get the idea.

Next week the expected Ministry pack is coming, but it's disappointing that there are only 3 songs; I expected them to throw in a couple of singles at least. Though I'm not interested in Ministry, "Jesus Built My Hotrod" is the kind of song it's tempting to get just to screw with the vocalist.

Hey gang,

Here's the DLC coming your way next week, a Ministry 3 pack! These are some solid industrial tracks to wear you out in the summer heat. Rock Band Network DLC info coming shortly!

Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 system (Aug. 10):

Ministry – “Stigmata”
Ministry – “Thieves”
Ministry – “Jesus Built My Hotrod”

(All tracks are original master recordings)

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation 3 system Aug. 11)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “Ministry Pack 02,” as well as individual tracks, on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks only on Wii.

Price:

$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per track

$5.49, £2.49 UK, €3.99 EU (440 Microsoft Points) for Ministry Pack 02

$2.00 USD (200 Wii Points&#8482 per track

Just in case you weren't satisfied with the regular DLC announcement this morning, here's some more news. It appears that Linkin Park will be releasing an 8-pack of songs on 9/14. Two tracks will be from their new album A Thousand Suns, with the other 6 being older hits. The actual song titles are not mentioned.

You seem to be pretty on top of this DLC stuff. Do you have all of the DLC? If so, can I come over?

No, I don't have all of the DLC. Currently I have about 460 songs, but that includes the disc tracks from RB1/2 and Lego. While my musical taste is fairly broad, it's not broad enough to like all the DLC, nor am I that rich.

I've never heard of this band, the according to this announcement a 3-pack of songs from The Black Keys will be available as DLC next week.

The Black Keys will make their debut in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and Wii next week. The Black Keys' Rock Band debut will include a three pack of tracks launching this Tuesday, August 17.

The Black Keys Pack 01 will feature "Strange Times" and "I Got Mine," off their 2008 Nonesuch album Attack & Release, which debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. "I Got Mine" was featured as No. 23 on The Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008. The pack will also feature "Your Touch" off The Black Keys' 2006 Nonesuch debut album, Magic Potion.

This is pretty amazing, the black keys are a great band. Anyone who is into indie rock would like them I think, or anyone who is into guitar driven music. Just try listening to these songs on youtube they are awesome.

I checked them out - not bad but I wasn't interested enough to bite. On the other hand, I'm really liking the Neon Trees tracks, I might just buy that pack.

Next week the expected Disturbed pack is coming, plus some random singles. These singles interest me. I haven't heard of these bands, but The Veer Union track sounds pretty good, and We are the Fallen sounds exactly like Evanescence (in fact some former members are in there, though not Amy Lee).

Hey guys!

Apparently German internet's favorite word is "nein" and it's not letting our people over at Gamescom do a whole lot, so next week's DLC announcement is brought to you by me!

Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 system (Aug. 24):

• Disturbed – “Another Way to Die”
• Disturbed – “Asylum”
• Disturbed – “The Animal”
• Crash Kings – “Mountain Man”
• The Veer Union – “Seasons” +
• We Are the Fallen – “Bury Me Alive”

(All tracks are original master recordings)
(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation 3 system Aug. 25)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “Disturbed Pack 03” and “Universal Motown Republic Rock Pack 01,” as well as individual tracks, on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks only on Wii. Tracks marked with “+” will also be available in the family-friendly LEGO® Rock Band Music Store.

Price: $1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per song

As previously reported, Country Pack 04 is coming next week. My wife might want some of this stuff, but I'm going to hold off until I see what will be on the upcoming country track pack 2, as they tend to duplicate already released DLC on those.

Hey gang,

Here's the DLC coming your way next week, the very first 04 pack, featuring 9 country tracks. There's something for the ladies, something for the fellas, some picking for the guitar players, some country rhythm for the drummers and a hoot and a holler of a time to be had by all. Enjoy!

Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 system (Aug. 31):

Dierks Bentley—“What Was I Thinkin’”
Eric Church – “Hell on the Heart”
Jamey Johnson – “Women”
Josh Turner – “Would You Go With Me” +
Keith Urban – “Days Go By” +
Lady Antebellum – “Lookin’ For a Good Time”
Laura Bell Bundy – “Rebound”
Reba McEntire – “Fancy” +
Sugarland – “It Happens” +

(All tracks are original master recordings)

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation 3 system Sept. 1)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “Going Country Pack 04,” as well as individual tracks, on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks only on Wii. Tracks marked with “+” will also be available in the family-friendly LEGO® Rock Band Music Store.

Here's an extra FREE tidbit for next week, at least on the 360. A dozen RBN bands are releasing a 10-minute mix track to promote their songs, called the RBN Megamix. It will be available for download on RBN on Tuesday, August 31st.

Yeesh, this was a long time coming. WAY back in February 2009, Harmonix announced that Snoop Dogg was coming to Rock Band. Everyone had pretty much given up on that announcement by now, but lo and behold, an advertisement on Palladia now claims that 8 Snoop Dogg songs are coming to Rock Band on September 7th.

Heads up: while this is out today, apparently a bug crept in and the vocals are broken, specifically all of the talkie parts. HMX will probably pull it and repost at some point, but I don't know how long that will take.

OK, the expected Snoop Dogg pack is here. In other news, the RBN Megamix has been pulled due to the vocals issue. A fixed version will probably be out in a couple of weeks.
