Threesome, of course.
There was the old Invisible Man, Wonder Woman, Superman joke...
Threesome, of course.
I like to believe that I know a fair bit of information and history on DC lore and characters, but there's something in that trailer that I just can't grasp right now just by looking at it without asking what Google thinks about it (and to be honest I'm not sure what I'd have to look for to get more answers), so I'll ask here.
It's the shot that starts at 2:00 and pretty much ends at 2:01 (and a half or so). It looks like... insects? Humanoid insect(oids) flying above Batman and the military base as Batman fights the soldiers.
The only thing I can think of right now is that Batman is having a really bad nightmare and the whole thing doesn't actually happen. However, if it does happen then it certainly raises some questions, to say the least: 1) Are those bugs the ones I'm thinking about from... say... New Genesis? (the planet I mean, the parallel dimension one) and 2) If it has nothing to do with parallel dimensions, then who or what on Earth (literally) can possibly be responsible for creating them? (that is, indeed, if they didn't just popped in this dimension from some boom tube) 3) If we push it to the extremes, maybe Luthor also had other experiments going on and just decided to unleash a few of those bugs to try and get Batman? And, 4) I do remember reading somewhere on the Interwebs (really can't recall where and don't even know where to start to get that old info back from Google) that some super insect soldier once tried to invade Earth in Darksied's name, am I correct here or is my memory essentially trying to tell me that I should really stop thinking too much about it?
I'm at a loss right now just scratching my head. That's the one part of the trailer that I suppose is my new favorite (and probably only lasting) mystery about what happens in the movie.
I would say Mortal Kombat Annihilation suffered a similar fate by introducing way too many characters, while trying to fit "anamalities" in the mix as well..
I was extremely confused by this trailer, probably because I don't read comics and haven't been following internet gossip about the movie.
But... ummm... I thought this movie was going to be about an epic battle between Superman and Batman. Apparently they decide to just hug it out in the end despite the massive destruction inflicted on the world during their battle because Wonder Woman showed up?
"Sorry about your city guys. Our bad."
I also don't remember Lynda Carter ever using a sword and shield.
*shrug*

um wouldn't batman v superman be just batman v superman?
it looks like they are friends at the wonder woman part.
wow that movie looks like nothing but a CGI fest. bad CGI at that.

I think, as far as the titular fight(s), they have it settled by that point in the movie. It seems that it may be Doomsday may have the laser-like beam that Superman has, which was being used at the time Wonder Woman shows up.
Maybe.
I dunno. Never cared for DC outside of Batman. Movie looks like it completely ruins all that is great about Batman. But I may be interested in watching the Suicide Squad and seeing how that all blends with the rest of the new Justice League movie universe.
That actually looks awesome.
This BvS is looking like the first superhero disappointment from Snyder. Most unexpected; but I suppose it's only fair to wait and see. If anything, I can't imagine his being OK with that ultra spoileriffic trailer being released.
First?
yeah, first. Watchmen and MoS were fantastic; some of the very best superhero flicks made to date.
The only Snyder movie that sucked, imo, was Suckerpunch. I don't think I ever finished it. Does that count as a superhero movie?
