Hello everyone i have a quick question im getting a new motherboard but im going to use the same processor as of right now im useing a AMD XP 1800 CPU Shim, a heat sink and a fan my question is do i need to get a new cpu shim? and do i need to get the cpu greese like the artic sliver stuff? thanks in advance

no, you can use the same shim, and yes, you would want to use some kind of thermal grease. AS3 in my opinion just happens to be the best.

On the core of the cpu only. Be careful though, you just need a small amount, putting too much will have a negative impact.
