Beautiful car, beautiful color! I'm partial to Laguna Seca Blue, but that yellow is very nice. Be sure to keep it in shape. What are your plans for the Scooby--gonna sell it or keep it?

edit: dude I forgot you're in the UK. What kind of gas guzzler/luxury/VAT/London commuter taxes are you gonna have to pay on that thing???

No Gas guzzler tax, well, there is insane fuel tax so that counts. However, I have a fuel card from my company, so that is a non-issue. I live 5 minutes from work, walking, so no Congestion charge/commuter tax. No Luxury tax here either, so I'm golden! (so is the car, sorta!)

To all asking the price. It's not worth starting that little firebox! The £>$ conversion will make it appear more expensive than it really is to me. Suffice to say it's the most I have ever paid for a car, ever. Ever.

Quit with the foreplay and tell us how much you paid.

~£24,000

24,000.00 GBP = 41,914.15 USD

United Kingdom Pounds
United States Dollars

http://xe.com/ucc/

I have seen similar used M3's for less here in the States.

Here we go...

??? ???

OK, so I did a search and I call shens:

Nearest I could find was a 2002 Coupe with 21k miles @ $43,995.

Link.

So try to get a better price. Remember. BMW dealer, <20k miles and all options except rear blind (that means NAV/TV/PHONE/19's/Harmon Kardon HiFi, etc). Good luck!

My dad had a white 325 (sold it on Sunday just gone, late 90's - 98ish) with spoiler and all, it is a very nice colour for BMW's. They look nice with spoilers.

I doubt that you will find a car with the same options in the US. The options in the US and Europe are way different as are the base features. At least here in Germany the options list is endless - it is easy to double the price of the base car.... and usually cars are alot cheaper in the US
Anyway a quick serach for 2001/2002 models with less than 50000km returned results from ?30000 - ?80000

The base price of a factory fresh M3 is ?49000=$58000 before taxes, and ?57000 incl. VAT

Key words "BMW Dealer"

The dealer paid a whole lot less than $44,000. Usualy in the states the mark-up on used cars is often very high when you shop at dealerships. They buy them on the cheap as trade in's or as end of lease. Second the car you linked to is in California where almost every thing costs more than it would on the east coast (I.E. Florida).

Also the person who sold it to the dealer probably did so for around 30-38k.

Ihttp://www.nobleowl.com/products.asp?product_id=4627181427

The Kelly Blue Book Value for a BMW M3 located in Florida is only $33,125 USD or 18,991.08 GBP if it is in showroom condion with no mecahnical, paint, chasis, or body defects.

EDIT: Almost no one pays the KBB book price. 99% of all cars sold sell for less than that.

So what? He doesn't live in the US so US pricing means nothing to him.

I assumed they all cost about the same weather you live in the US or UK. Paying 44K for a 4 yearold car is nuts, I know M3's sold for 41-48k new at the dealer in 2002.

He called "shens", so I am proving my correctness.

That is my favorite color paint by BMW, however I am a fan of the rust colored interior.

Awesome car, ignore the people that are now out to prove you paid too much... the important thing is that it makes you happy.
