Hi,
This is my first post and I'd like to know if anyone knows of any hot deals to buy/order a Toyota Sequoia (and any other new vehicle). I know there are some car buying services online but does anyone have any experience with them and could make some recommendations? I'm looking to buy the vehicle with cash so I'm not looking for financing deals, but deals for the price of the vehicle.
Thanks!!!

Go to www.carbuyingtips.com. I know they specifically talk about which online service to go to for Toyotas. There are also many sites listed at the above site that let you know the MSRP, dealer's invoice, true market value, as well as any rebates or other incentives being offered. One I like is wwww.edmunds.com. We just bought a vehicle over the phone and online. Never set foot at the dealership. They even filled it up and delivered it to us from 60 miles away. Also, make sure you read the chapter on extended warranties. We go a ten year 100,000 mile warranty with zero deductible for $1200. It covers wear and tear and has many other advantages over the ones offered at the dealerships. I know all of the big three have great rebates and zero financing through Oct. 31. Toyota may also have this. But from what I have read, these incentives will not be extended past the end of the month. Good Luck.

I forgot to add, go to toyota.com and select dealer locater. It will show the dealers in your area and you can then check their inventory. That's how we found the exact vehicle we wanted. I put in different cities or zip codes and expanded my search.

I dunno if you can save an obviously wrong-forum thread by giving a deal, but here goes:

In case you're not familiar with it,
www.carsdirect.com

will give you an actual firm price quote online immediately. No bullshit, no emails, no special person to talk with at the dealership, just their firm best price. I got one for a Toyota Solara and thought it might be useful to get dealers to bargain from, but they wouldn't come near it. I think this is really the ONLY place on the web you can get an actual discount price on a car.

personally i think these threads are useful, not like someone's going to go around posting these deals on their own accord...

Agreed all you see in the iwanna thread is a bunch of questions so what good does that do? Maybe there should be a help section in the forum with each thread seperate but I`m not sure what good that would do ,I guess this is an old issue anyway.

Some one mentioned www.carsdirect.com as a good choice buying cars. I absolutely agree.
I got my Chevy Prizm 2 years ago from them when they were still couple of months in business.
I logged on their site at 11PM in the night and placed my order . I got call from them 11 am next morning--they already found my car in the dealership nearby. 3 days later I went to the dealership, paid the price quated by carsdirect and drove away.
Carsdirect subscribed $1300 towards my purchase. And mine was not the only case at that time when they tried to establish their name.
Now you don't expect such deals any more, because they are among the top Net car sellers. During the past 2 months, 3 of my colleague bought from them.
Apart from the strong points mentioned by previous posts, the biggest advantage is you don't have to hassle with those sales person and the price you paid,if not cheaper than bargain hunters, definately wont be higher than the average.
One disadvantage: It could be harder for you to have your old junk trade in. In my case, the dealer didn't show any interest in my old car as they already got the deal done with Carsdirect.
