Looks like a nice case with lots of cooling options. I like the minimalist look. If I didn't already have a P180B, I'd give this one a serious look.

yeah i totally agree with you, from the look of it, they (c/m) sure put lots of thought into this, and fan outlet on the side panel that accomodate all fan size is sure a nice option.

I just got one from Zipzoomfly for $39 AR. The price has gone up $5 since then though.

lol i bought one. Its currently sitting in my room empty waiting for moding to be done on it.

Im going to drop a Quadcore Q6600 (B3) and a basic waterkit. The waterkit should cost no more then 180 dollars.

I will write a simple guide on cheap watercooling and cheap compoents.

Parts going into it so far are:

Abit IP35-E
Antec TruePower 600
Q6600
OCZ Reapers 6400 2gb
Samsung Spinpoint, WD Caviar, or Seagate HD. Havent decided yet
eVGA 8600GT

Watercooling EQ:

ApogeeGTX or D-tek Fusion <-- i personally want to try the new ENZO on it tho.
MCR220
DDC-3.2 /w OCLabs Plex Top
MCW 30 <--- Want to try out the new ENZO block as well here too.
MCW 60
Y-Line for drain/filling.

Considering i have the pump, and the VGA block, it shouldnt cost me too much.

But the case looks very promsing. I'll try to document my build so others can follow if this kind of rig is what you desire.

I recently bought one of these and am very happy with it. Plenty of room, and good cable management. The reviews seem to indicate a problem with hard to remove side panels. I found this not to be the case (no pun intented) at all. If you are careful to properly line up the panel with the mounts on the frame it slides on and off easily. (If you don't, it does get "sticky"). The construction is solid and exact. If I was coolermaster, I would have asked for more for this box.

Anyway, I would highly recommend it. You simply cannot get more case for the money.

Enjoy it if you buy

watercooling is always an expensive luxury,

watercooling made affordable for everyone!

kind regards,

It looks like ZipZoomFly has raised the price of the RC-690 / CM-690 to $75-$20 (rebate) = $55 shipped, which is an increase of $16.

If I was coolermaster, I would have asked for more for this box.

Can we wait until I buy mine next time before we give them any ideas?

Pretty good price for that case IMO. I've grown sick of seeing all the nice Antec cases at $100 or more.

This case is sick for the price. Nice to see that they're making cases with good cooling and features for such a low price now. 2 years ago when I bought my TT Kandalf, anything of that caliber was close to 200.

Ugh, even cases now have Nvidia SLI certification...

that said, it looks like a pretty nice case. Definitely worth buying for $50 or less.

I have this case, it is nice and roomy . I keep it on the left side of my desktop, because it is much louder on the right side plus the Pwr buttons are on the right side... I think that it prolly needs to have the dust blown out every 3-4 months or so also....

If any one could suggest some quieter replacement fans it would be much appreciated....

Stock fans are noisy huh?

Silverstone FN121 are good quiet fans, or Yate loon DS12SL-12 for cheaper if you like (not available on newegg though)

I got this case last Thursday and haven't started on my new build. I will be using this case for my new HTPC so it's going to be a quiet case with only air cooling. Besides the 3 stock fans there are places for 3 additional 120mm or even 140mm fans and a place for an 80mm on the back side of the motherboard at the CPU location. Not really sure how useful it would be and am not planning on putting one there. Apparently it would need to be 15mm thick to fit in that location. If the stock fans are noisy I'll consider replacing them with Antec TriCools since they have 3 different settings you can use. I may also install a Zalman 5.25 bay fan controller. I've chosen the Scythe Ninja for a CPU heatsink so I'll have yet another fan inside the case. I took the case apart and the build quality is quite good. The top panel has 6 tabs underneath to be able to remove it. Underneath are 2 mounts for up to 140mm fans. The front panel snaps off by pulling from the bottom. There is already a stock fan installed to blow over the hard drive cage. The front and top panels are mesh so I'll be trying to come up with a fan filter for the front. The power supply mount on the bottom and can be mounted so the fan pulls air from underneath the case instead of drawing in warm air from inside the case. Because of the PS location you'll need to make sure you get a PS with long connectors. The case has built in cable tie straps for neat cabling. A fan location on the bottom in front of the PS is available as well. Other than the case not having a removable motherboard tray, which is not something I expect with an inexpensive case the only possible problem is eliminating sucking up dust, easily remedied with the addition of fan filters on any intake fans. Definitely a nice case.

To anyone who has the case, is there enough room in it to fit 6 harddrives with active cooling?

It looks plausible, but cable management might make it very difficult.

Hey, that isn't half-bad, but there's no way I'd pay 55 bones for one (best price I found)...

Would someone wake me up when they go on sale again?
