I just built a computer and have a problem when turning it on from a cold boot. It just sits there with a blank screen until I hold down the power button to turn it off and then back on. Once I do this it tells me that an overlock failed and to go into the bios and check my settings. It downclocks the ram to 1066 when this happens.
I go into the bios and pick the exact same settings as before and saves changes and reboot. Everything works fine and its passed stability with prime95 for 24 hours.
I have it overclocked to 4500 GHz with a 45x multiplier @ 1.26v, all other settings are on auto except for the memory which is set to use the XMP profile which clocks it at 1866 with 9-10-9-27 timings and 1.65v. Temps on the CPU under load are between 50C - 55C and idles 25C - 30C.
This is only on a cold boot, restarts from windows work just fine and it does not reset the RAM when I do that.
Here are the parts for my system
