New Computer build problem!

Ok so I just built a computer for a friend. I have built several computers before but never used eyefinity until now.

The Specs:
Core i7 930
6GB Corsair dominator
640GB WD "black" edition
1GB HD 5870 XFX
Corsair 850 watt power supply
ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58
3 20" Asus monitors
Dell active displayport to dvi adapter

The Problem:
Booted up fine, been working for 2 days perfectly, installed new graphics drivers etc, all 3 monitors were working great with eyefinity (2 in dvi, 1 in displayport). We ran several 3dmark benchmarks and it performed amazing. The computer was left sitting for the day and the monitors went into sleep mode. They won't come back out now. The computer has power and is running fine, tried disconnecting all connections except 1 dvi and it still wont work, restarted the computer several times and nothing. The monitors come up with Asus then in the upper corner says no DVI input and goes black and nothing will come up. Could the graphics card be defective? Any advice on what I could try?

Just something to throw at you. Try disconnecting the power cable and then pressing the power button for 5 seconds to expel any extra energy. You should see the fans spin for a second or two. Then plug back in and try to turn on.

If that does not work.

Follow the steps above but this time before plugging back in open up the case and reset the CMOS. Instructions should be in the motherboard manual. Get back to us when you're finished.

Sounds like it could be a few things. I've seen a system not boot because of a bad power supply. Maybe start with the bare bones, 1 stick of ram, processor, and video card hooked up, with nothing else.

Also try what PC Surgeon suggested with disconnecting power cable and discharging all left over power.

Try resetting CMOS as PC Surgeon suggested.

it never came back from sleep mode. could be your PSU.

did you check your monitors on another computer to see if it works.

Well, after a little struggle we got 1 monitor to come up just plugging it in by itself. It would start booting up but then the screen would go black after the windows starting screen. So, booted it into safe mode and reinstalled the graphics drivers that came on the CD. Got it to boot all the way up without using safe mode then reinstalled the latest graphic drivers. Plugged the other monitors back in and its worked great since. Just not using the sleep function anymore

Have you checked out CMOS instruction?? CMOS plays an important role in such problem. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a driver glitch related to the monitors going into sleep mode and not coming back. I'd check ATI's forums to see if others have experienced a similar situation.
