New computer help

Ok I am going to make my own computer. I need to convince my mom to buy the parts so I can make it. I think we need a total upgrade and plus my sister needs a computer for college so I suggested should could take the one we got. Any ideas of what I can say to my mom? What do you think of the new rig I want?
