Hey all,
I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my rig. I was running a C2D E8400 and Geforce 9800GT.
Went ahead and got an ASUS motherboard, an EVGA GTX 570HD, 8GB of RAM and an i-2500k.
I went ahead and installed everything fine, reinstalled Windows, got my applications back up and everything was great.
I went ahead and downloaded TF2 and BF3 and tinkered a bit more. After TF2 was done downloading, I launched it and edited some settings. Then as I browsing the server list, my computer screen goes black and the 570 fan goes into full blast. I turn off my computer, wait a bit, then start back up and it boots back up.
I check the temps of everything, normal range. I tried launching BF3 and bam, same thing happens after the game launches.
So because of this, I am suspecting that my older 550 watt power supply just isn't cutting it. Is this probably it or is there something more likely the issue?
