New DFI Boards?

I was at a LAN party this weekend (lanwar) and DFI chose to unveil some new mobos there, called the LAN party pack. Apparently, these are 3 mobos (Nforce2, KT400A, and Intel Canterwood) which are catered for the LAN party croud. They have UV sensitive Slots/Sockets/Connectors, and a whole bunch of other stuff (I could post scans of the flyers they handed out, if anyone wants to see). Given DFI and I have been on not the best of terms (coughcrapcough), I'm wondering whether they'll have cleaned up their act this time around. I haven't seen ANY information elsewhere on the web, aside from a small picture from Tom. A preliminary review would be awesome, but unlikely, seeing as how the mobo with serial number 1 was given away at this LAN party. Any info would be appreciated! thanks!

That'd be great if you could post some scans so we can get some more info on what exactly they are giving in their product we can't already find.

EDIT: This was my 400th post! w007!

Another other manufacturer and i'd think about it. They do look prett cool and would match everything else in my case...

What is that supposed to mean? If you're trying to say DFI makes underperforming or poor boards in particular then you must have mistaken them for a different company. Do you realize they are a chosen mainboard manufacture for PC companies like Gateway, eMachines and the companies alike? DFi didn't use the "i Rock bling bling" marketing approach to sell a board as until recent as they seen people will only buy a board by its color and nothing more. Just like sony products. It's silver so it has to be good.

I've had nothing but good experiences with DFI boards....dating all the way back to a k6-2 300mhz I had years back. They're cheap and stable...not a lot of features but I rarely use any of those extra features since I've stopped overclocking a few years ago.

Me and everyone else I know have had nothing but trouble with DFI Boards. I cannot say that I know anyone that has had a good experience with them. As soon as I see a review for these new boards, I'll take a more serious look. Until every board by them I've handled isn't crap, I won't trust them.

Ditto my experiences. Too bad you are waiting for a review and don't trust many who HAVE had good experiences. Your loss.

As soon as I see a review for these new boards,

Are you serious? You can't possibly base a boards stability off of some Hardware editors review or preview. That's like saying Evan proclaims SiS655 boards are pretty stable "In HIS opinion", But if you go look around different forums, there are enough people having difficulties with them when adding scsi, or anyother third party cards to them. You can't base your past experiences of a company with what their most exclusive product on the market will be, especially when it is a totally different chipset. If we all thought like you we would be still using Pentium2's with 3dfx Voodoo2's and BX chipset motherboards.

Since every motherboard from them i've used has in SOME WAY been flawed, or broken, from purchase, I'm assuming that they, in general, make poor quality boards. Friends of mine have agreed with me. I also generally trust reviews, though I would read more than one, as well as customer opinions before buying. I should have clarified this. As it is, I've heard from 3 people who've had positive experiences with DFI, vs. perhaps 10 that have had bad experiences. Since i've had nothing but bad experiences, my view is somewhat skewed, though the way these boards look, i'm willing to give them another chance.
