Help!

New at upgrading and resource sharing.

How do you connect two CPU's to share resources?

What can you share besides files&folders?

Also can you go from 164 pin memory cards to 240 without changing mother board?

I know some of you are rolling on the floor , but - we all start some where and my 12 year old son wont help anymore!

First, please post with a much more descriptive title, you will get more help that way.

Second, do you mean computers? the cpu is actually a part inside "the box" and not the entire computer. If you mean two computers, a good way to find how to share things would be to google. A search term like "how to share [files, printers, whatever] [your os here]".
No, you cannot change memory types without changing the motherboard, and usually also the CPU (not the "box", the little piece inside called the CPU).

In the future, you should practice your google-fu and you will be able to teach yourself all you want. google-fu is basically your ability to know what search terms will yield the results you want faster and easier.

Whats the dif between the 775 socket processor and the AM2 - are they interchangeable?

No, they are not. you can google for the differences but succinctly, the 754 is older tech that uses a single DDR channel, and AM2 uses dual channel DDR2 for ram. AMD processors of the athlon64 class (754, 939, am2, and more) all have the memory controller built into the CPU, older tech (and intel tech) has the memory controller on the mobo.

The 775 is an Intel socket, which is also called LGA775, and totally incompatible with all AMD processors.

Look around for guides on networking/sharing resources between windows machines. Should be plenty of info on how to share printers and share folders. As for the sockets 775 is the current Intel socket and AM2 is the AMD socket. They are completely incompatible and totally different.
