Yeah, what a big heart!

"Joseph Curl wrote for the Washington Times back in April of this year, "The couple had two daughters, Alexandra in 1973 and Vanessa in 1976, but all was not bliss in the Kerry mansions. They separated in 1982, with Thorne in the depths of a severe depression and on the brink of suicide, which she blamed on her husband's cold and distant nature, his long absences, and his fierce ambition (which she was bankrolling). The separation came as Kerry was mulling a bid to run for the Senate seat vacated by Paul Tsongas in 1984. Thorne said she still associates politics "only with anger, fear, and loneliness." In 1988, the final divorce went through?she later called her relationship with Kerry a "suffocating marriage."

After leaving his wife in the midst of suicidal depression, Kerry later wished to marry Teresa Heinz and sought an annulment, which he ultimately obtained. In 1997 Kerry publicly joked about the issue of annulment on a radio talk show saying that 75 percent of all annulments in the world take place in the U.S., but he guessed, "That number would drop to 50 percent if you take out all of the Massachusetts politicians.""

Really OT.

You are like a child. Stop pi$sing in threads unless you have something on topic to contribute. The ad is a very powerful one and will probably be ignored by the right like the swiftboat ads are ignored by the left. Will it strike a chord with undecideds? Perhaps.

John Kerry abandoned our husbands, sons, fathers, and brothers in favor of trade and normalization of relations with Vietnam. His actions paved the way for the further abandonment of POWs and MIAs from World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War.

John Kerry, as chairman of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs, ordered the destruction of committee documents, blocked avenues of investigation, and misrepresented progress on the POW/MIA issue to justify lifting of the trade embargo against Vietnam.

Cite for the latter statement? That's slander if it's a lie.

John McCain also strongly supported normalization of trade relations with Vietnam, but then that fact goes against your anti-Kerry manifesto, so of course you didn't post it.

scroll down to republican presidential candidates bebate... they got a few of them.

Thanks a bunch, Ogi!

I think this fits into the discussion nicely...

KEYES: No, I don't mean it that way. I mean it in the first place, you know? And I think it's time we began to ask ourselves...

KING: (inaudible) said that.

KEYES: ... why it is that these campaigns degenerate into this kind of stuff, and I think I know why it is.

KING: Which...

KEYES: I think it's because people are trying so hard to be all things to all people that they refuse to stand forthrightly and make it clear on each given issue where they stand in a principled way and simply speak the truth and let the chips falls. And so they get into this spitting match over who did what to whom, as distraction from the lack of substance in their own campaigns.

I think people need to start thinking about whether this is the kind of spectacle that actually characterizes a serious political process, because I don't think it does.

Don't even bother, it's a statement from Ted Sampley who is one of the biggest pieces of scum in the world.

pretty sad that Kerry still has to use McCain as a crutch.....

I loved the last line "we can do better" ...

to bad better does not equal John Kerry or John Edwards.

I doubt he'd be as much of a failure as the Dub has been as our leader!

And Bush isn't?

What do you call Bush running to McCain for help in suing the 527 organizations? Hmmm???

Hypocrite.

The rest of the story...

BUSH: Let me say something, John. Let me finish. Let me finish.

John, I believe that you served our country nobly. And I've said it over and over again. That man wasn't speaking for me. He may have a dispute with you...

MCCAIN: He was at your event.

BUSH: Let me finish please, please.

MCCAIN: He's listed as your (inaudible)

BUSH: Let me finish. Let me finish.

KING: All right, let him finish.

BUSH: The man was not speaking for me. If you want to know my opinion about you, John, you served our country admirably and strongly, and I'm proud of your record, just like you are.

And I don't appreciate what he said about my dad, either. But let me say something, if you're going to be -- hold me responsible for what people for me say, I'm going to do the same for you. And let me give you one example.

Warren Rudman, the man who you had as your campaign man in New Hampshire, said about the Christian Coalition that they're bigots. He talked about the Christian Coalition in a way that was incredibly strong. I know you don't believe that, do you?

MCCAIN: George, he's entitled to his opinion on that issue.

BUSH: Well, so is this man.

Which serves to illustrate perfectly the difference between those who merely preach tolerance and diversity and those who have the moral conviction to actually practice them.

Wow...sad.

Sounds exactly like many of the Bush-God fanbois up here. They mimic Bush perfectly. They don't understand the difference between spouting out and out lies versus an opinion.

Yes, it is sad indeed. Sad, when those who would so adamantly insist that the mote be plucked from their brother's eye can so conveniently ignore the log in their own. Perhaps its simply an unavoidable symptomatic consequence of their affliction with Cranial Termitus.
