McCain is right, of course. I only wish both sides would stop with the stupidity and focus on the issues here and now. Vietnam is ancient history. most of the people blame both candidates, but keep in mind that kerry denounced a moveon.org ad about bush's presidency, bush has yet to do anything like that on any of hissmear campaigns, which he is now financially linked with....

people say all that kerry talks about is his time in vietnam

well all that bush talks about is kerry's time in vietnam ... i don't like to point blame but i think our president is mainly responsibly for this mudslinging...i do agree that we should move on though.

I would agree with you, but this issue represents the Republicans doing what they do best, lying and distorting the truth. They had hoped to ride this right into the white house like they did ther willie horton issue, but it has blown up in their faces.

I say this needs to be in the spotlight a little longer to make sure that everyone who heard the first half get clued in on "the rest of the story".

Then we can get down to the real issues, LOL. Like that will happen, LOL.

As far freakin right as the Bush camp and the religious right have gotten McCain could get the Republican nomination in 2008 and still be awfuly close to center. He wouldn't have a chance as a third party canidate or as a republican canidate if he doesn't "tow the party line" this year. Even if Bush wins this year McCain would be a good choice for the republicans in 2008. He has to keep his eye on that fact.

When Kerry wins I will vote for him again if he does a good job. If we have a good President I like to keep him around for both terms and I don't really care what party he is. If Kerry doesnt' do a good job then I hope McCain does get the GOP nomination in 2008 and I will vote for him.

if kerry gets elected and does an ok to below avg. job in the 2004-2008 years i would seriously consider voting for mccain if he is running in 2008 (which i would imagine he is, chaney is going to die before too long lol).

perhaps you cannot understand their choice because you have started with the assumption that they are "dumbasses", I realize the fact that they do not agree with you by definition means they are wrong but isnt your attitude a little odd considering that their choice "bush" is the one thats usually called arrogant?

they are complete dumb asses, i'm not saying anyone is a dumb ass for voting for bush, if bush fits what they want out of a politician, vote for him! great, that's what a democracy is all about

on the other hand, when these swift boat veterans (so to speak) are saying that kerry was never under fire when he received his bronze star, but one of them actually was there, and also earned a bronze star and the description says he was under fire too ... oh wait, but he said he wans't under fire (so why did he get a bronze star?).... or i guess if he wasn't under fire, and kerry was, all the vietnamese were shooting at kerry only, .... i guess they really didn't like him ...

those guys are so full of sh!t, it's coming out of their nose, ears and eyeballs. not only do i talk about them as if they are stupid, but i also have no respect for them. i have respect for some stupid people, being stupid doesn't mean you don't have my respect, but being dishonest, dirty, and attempting to ruin the honor of another man is just plain WRONG.

Fine. It doesn't hurt to hope. In any event, as long as the mudslinging is relatively even, I guess both sides will nullify each other. In other words, I don't want to hear any complaining from you when the "AWOL" ads get cranked up and are joined by the "HALLIBURTON" and "BUSH LIED" ads.
