New Newegg News on Soyo Rebates

Hi all ..

I'm hearing now that Newegg is honoring all rebates that Soyo is not from last year. Looks like you'll need to send an email to the egg with your purchase information.

Just wonderful!

Another reason to Newegg. I zipzoomfly'd also. Wonder if they have any ability to pressure Soyo also. Should have listened to the Soyo warnings - they are seriously blacklisted for 4ever - for whatever they now sell.

I just emailed Service at ZZF. They sold me mobos for which SOYO still owes me $220 in rebates (pitty the fool). Lets get ZZF involved.

I did squeeze the rebates out of SOYO for my newegg mobos, and newegg was active in assisting me in this quest. Now it's time for ZZF to do their part.

Newegg (ok, ChiefValue, their cheapo surrogate) is now my #1 choice.

I mailed my paperwork copies here and got both my checks in like 3 weeks.

I just had Newegg CS on the phone and yes I'm pleased to say they provided the Upland CA address for processing.
I have been a little disappointed in some of neweggs promotions as of late, but this is definitely a new standard for online retailing. Kudos to newegg.com.

Well I emailed them and got nothing back from them, Making me not to happy about them either, Reminding me of Soyo themselves.

I never knew Soyo was also PCChips. It's all coming together now. No wonder Soyo sucks a$$!

Well I fired off another email to newegg with no response in the last 6 hours. Really disappointed with the responses Im getting with these companies. As in NONE! Im so done with rebate BS! As my name suggests.

Well newegg finally got back to me on the first message but didnt give me their upland address, They said I should hear from Soyo within 2 days and if not contact newegg again, Im not holding my breath on hearing from Soyo.

I love it! All this is such BS it isnt funny, I write newegg last friday and still havent heard back from them either, This whole Soyo thing is nothing but a scam. And I have tried multiple ways to get some kind of response and get nothing back. Im very disappointed with newegg at this point as well becasue they have not offered anything up either. Inclucing not even offering their Upland address.

First of all, you're the first person I've ever heard of not getting a response from Newegg...are you behaving like the ass you are here in your emails to them?

Second, Newegg is in no way responsible for Soyo's suckness, they should be applauded for doing anything at all about this, which they for some reason are doing for every one of the face of the planet except you...

Sorry bud you dont know me and dont go around here acting as such, You just made an ass out of yourself with such comments. And weather you believe it comes down to newegg is a matter of opinion, They advertised a free after rebate motherboard. There is some responsibility for newegg as well. Newegg has not done a thing for me other than write an email once stating they are supporting their customers. I wrote a second one 6 days ago with no response, I just emailed them again a min. ago asking why they didnt respond to the first. I have done probably like 20 grand or more in business with newegg for my work and home use in the last 2 years. If they want to really make me happy they could just credit me back the $75 and it would go along way to me continuing to do business with them. I dont know where you come off making such comments, Mr Know it all. Go stick your nose into someone elses business that you know nothing about.

That may not be true, the FTC is making CompUSA pay out a ton of QPS rebates that were never paid. Maybe this is scaring the other retailers.

I just got denied from CompUSA/MS for a rebate and when I called 3 days ago they pushed it through with no questions asked.

Personally since they advertise the price after rebate i think the stores should be responsible and if they don't want that responsibility advertising should bar the after rebate price!

did you provide all of your information to newegg when u contacted them? like your 'general info' 'described problem' 'invoice# customer#, and attach your rebate backup copys'?

i did that back in like jan, and received a response in about 2 days. thy have a list of all customers soyo has ripped off, and thy email every customer when there is new information about soyo, even if you already recieved your rebate due to there persistence(as i have)

i even received an automated email from newegg, though i recieved my soyo rebates weeks earlyer(due to there behalf)

it said thy even setup a specific email addy for soyo rebate problems/complainst at.... soyocomplaints@newegg.com

just email them at that addy, with all your info as stated above, specify the rebates overdue... you prolly dont even need to describe the problem anymore... and i bet you'l recieve your rebates within 1-1/2 week.

That's because Soyo and PC Chips have no relationship whatsoever. Same with false rumors that Soyo is 'exiting the mobo business'.

After the Soyo Rep posted here on Anandtech urging people to come forward who haven't received their rebates, I contacted Soyo regarding outstanding rebates from promotions back in the summer of 2004. Got my rebate check in the mail within a week.
