I just built a new PC based off of the sandy bridge platform and I'm having an issue when I turn my machine on from a cold boot. For some reason it turns on and just sits there until I restart it at which point the BIOS tells me that an overclock failed and to go into the settings and check my setup. I go in and set the RAM back to 1866 using the XMP profile with the correct timings/voltage. I then save and restart and everything is fine again.
I have my CPU set at 45x multiplier @ 1.26v, everything else is set to auto and the RAM is setup using the XMP profile. This is stable as I ran prime95 for 24 hours and no errors came up. I use a corsair H70 and temps are between 50-55C under full load.
Any ideas as to why it does this?
