New PC Build not powering up

Okay i just finished bulding my new AMD machine here are the stats:

Athlon 64 3000+ (754)
DFI Lanparty nForce III 250gb
1 GB Crucial Value Memory
Thermaltake Tsunami Case
Seagate 160GB SATA
Seagate 160GB UATA
BFG 6800 OC

My PSU is a Thermaltake 400W XP480 that I got from xoxide.com
I hooked the whole computer up and I can't get anything to boot up. Now I normally would suspect my wiring but there are only two wires that go to the motherboard and I know I hooked them up
I took my time but now nothing seems to happen when I try to power it on.
I am curious, I bought this cheapo psu when I bought the case and now I am thinking that it will be very inadequate. Any thoguhts?

this is not sarcasim .... U did press the power button and is the the switch on the PSU turned on ..... if so .... unhook every thing and take the mobo out of the case and just install the the basic components and place the mobo on a cardboard box and test .... reply with UR results and good luck

And if it still won't run, also slap in a low-powered video card like an old Radeon 7500 or GeForce2 or something, and see if it's the stupendous 12V power draw of the 6800OC that's causing that.

Other things: your mobo's on standoffs, I hope? Got the power cables connected to the 6800OC itself too, right?

Sorry guess I should have been more clear. I had already tried to turn on the mother board and it didn't work. I finally figured out that it was the power supply. It must have just been a bad one.

I ran out and got a 480W Antec Neo Power and no everything works perfect!
