New rig, mysterious black outs...

Hey, just finished putting together my new system:

i5 2500k
GTX 570
Gskill 2x4gb sniper
P67A-G45 mb
antec tp-650w

Installed Windows, chipsets, updated bios, etc... everything runs smooth.

I installed a game (league of legends), started it up, joined a game, and it ran very well (fps capped and stable, very smooth, etc).

then, no less than 3min into the game, the screen blacks out and the monitor loses signal. game music is replaced by a droning/clicking sounds through the speakers, and i'm unable to do anything...except restart. and after restart, it's fine.

edit:
after the first time I ran speedfan to see if it could possibly be overheating...

all the temps are very low.. gpu 31c, cores ~30c...

any ideas?

That game can be buggy, I played it for over an hour same thing happened to my comp, but I play all kinds of games without issue.

Try a different game and see if you still have issues. Might just be that game.

it's definitely not the game. I can run LoL in windowed just fine, but almost every game will cause the no signal from monitor in full screen. this also happens if I try to rate windows (system rating in windows 7), and on a few video stress tests.

it seems like the gpu fan isn't kicking in, although it's running...the gpu temp does reach ~50C before the monitor losing signal, but that's not high

make sure your motherboard has correctly set your RAM voltage and speed

Ya, was going to say also that make sure you haven't overclocked anything and run the performance defaults from bios. If you have oc'd anything without testing, it will corrupt anything you try to install.
