New Search Engine Launched Today

Pretty cool search function, I like the different options it gives you and the thumb-nailed pics of the sites that are found.. Lets see if this can take a small bite out of Google's market share.

EDIT: A few more minutes with this and I can already say that I will be using this more than MSN or Yahoo. The links on the top that get included when you do a search are pretty badass.

yeah, I tried doing a couple searches, and it came up with nothing when there should be millions of hits. I think they're getting hammered right now, since CNN featured them as their main article. I tried searching for 'birds' and the results are really interesting; the tabs at the top to refine your search are really cool. I like it. But they do need to change that color scheme!

Didn't work well for me. Did a simple search for requiem looking for the MMO i'm playing. only showed stuff for the movie. Also did bloodymare, the actual game. It gave me a few websites about the game, but not the actual main page for the game itelf. Not impressed.

I think the site is getting hammered right now, not sure if they expected the media exposure on the cnn.com site....

I don't like it at all. Search doesn't seem to return good results. The results look more like a page of ads than search results, and make things hard to find.

The search results are horribly innacurate on the first 3 searches I did and the results page is arranged in an annoying layout. So much for this engine.

We all love Google and I don't think anyone is going to seriously challenge them for a long time, but it is nice to know that an alternative may exist one day that can be a decent substitute. As it is right now, I haven't used anything but Google for years...

What does that have to do with the search results? Page seemed to load just fine, but it didn't even return websites with what I searched for in the name. Try searching for anandtech. You would think anandtech.com would show up right? nope.

Wow, really lame. Search results didn't have anything to do with the topic I entered.

Of course, there are always tricks to working any search engine, maybe I'll figure it out.

Not very good. One search says two 2 results found, but then doesn't give me any links. Another says 2 results, gives me a link and a picture to the link, but the picture isn't from the website.
They must really like music results, that 'explore by category' is always suggesting musical links.

Know wonder they're ex-google employees, seems they can't do math. A search which brings up what appears to be 7 sites, but counter at the top says it has '15 results found'
