New Steam sucks

I love steam. I was not a big fan, but the port to OSX combined with torchlight has made me a big believer.

I really love Steam. I don't care f I can't resell my games. I can get the whole Rockstar pack for $50 and the Codemasters racing pack for $18 in one weekend. If that isn't awesome I don't know what is.

I agree they run some great deals stuff I never would buy at the store.

Even after an update a week ago hosed my install and I had to redownload all of my games, I still love steam.

Shit happens, but it's the best thing going by a mile.

Steam was always okay but their new changes seem entirely for the sake of needless change and are moronic. Also Steam has been able to coax a bsod out of my system when 24 hours of linpack and prime couldn't. Its a P55 system so not even god knows why, or what the cure would be. Memtest doesn't know either.

Agreed, its all look and zero functionality over the old steam. In fact it loses a bit of functionality, theres no way to tell what the tiny little updates released for games etc do, only major updates or big news things seem to be covered.

An apologist is someone who makes excuses for someone else's screw ups.

For me? I love steam, and I absolutely love the new UI. If that makes me an apologist, then so be it. But I've had zero problems with steam (at least on windows... OSX still has some teething problems), and that's evidenced by the fact that I have a shitload of games on my account.
