Okay, I built my buddy a new PC yesterday, which include these parts:

A64 3400+
DFI Lanparty NF3-250GB
1024mb OCZ Value Select
BFG GeForce 6800 OC
Seagate Barracuda 120GB
Enermax 460w (12v 33a)
Antec P160 Case
LG DVD ROM
LG CD Burner
Sony Floppy

Windows XP Pro

Now, the computer absolutely refuses to boot up with the Buner and/or Floppy hooked up. I have tried making the burner and and DVD Rom primary, and seconday, but nothing works. However, if i just put the DVD Rom ALONE without the burner and the floppy, the computer works perfectly.

I have also set the bios to the default settings. I have installed the latest nForce and GeForce Drivers. SP1 and SP2 are not installed yet. I also tried resetting the cmos and wire configuration of the ROMS. They all indeed DO have power, they open and close and their lights turn on. It just wont boot!!!

Any ideas?

What do you mean by "it refuses to boot up"? Does it not post when the drives are connected? Does it post and you just cant boot off the CD?

Try replacing the nVidia SW IDE drivers with the vanilla M$ ones.
I have both NF2 & NF3 systems and have never been able to get those drivers working to my satisfaction.

Alright, this is what happens exactly:

Computer starts, seems fine
Goes to windows loading screen and the scroll goes on forever
SOMETIMES, it just restarts automatically in the windows loading screen

Sometimes if your floppy cable is in backwards the PC gets mad, doesn't really sound like your problem, but you might just check.

Agreed, check this and jumper settings on the optical drives.
