Nice. What trim is it?

I didn't realize there is no manual transmission for the Supra. I went to the build page and was surprised.

So have to ask why did you pick this over a Z4?

There's quite a few to the point it wasn't even a consideration. I was actually going to get a 981 GTS but my wife and I went to look at these and she really liked them.

Reasons not to get a z4:

- Only comes in convertible...which immediately kills it for me but some more are...
- Costs 12k more for the same options
- I don't think the BMW design language translates as well to this one
- It's not setup to be as fun as the Supra

This is a Premium 3.0 with driver assist. Most of them sticker for 56.6 to 56.8 but you can grab them easily now for 50-51k while dealers try to clear them out for the 2022 models. In regards to the manual, the BMW platform they built this off doesn't have a manual and it gets a lot of hate online for it. Personally, I would have went either way but my wife had 1 requirement and it was no manual. She reminded me of my agreement when I found a perfectly optioned 981 gts at a great price but it had a manual.

It is interesting that folks in my age group tend to think red in a car color is an automatic ticket magnet but you seem to be beyond that with your all-red assortments. When I was considering a C8 and found Torch Red units available I declined because of this. I would apply that same thought process to the Supra and maybe the Mustang (Shelby). Do you not find this or do you just deal with the tickets?

Everything I've read about it says it's not really true and though it can drop resale value sometimes, new cars also sometimes sell for slightly less than other colors.

Interesting explanation on how the Supra and Z4 came to be developed up near the start of this review. Cliff's Note version-without the Toyota/BMW partnership probably neither one would have happened.

Nice buy. Saw one in yellow the last time I was in a Toyota dealership-really nice looking car IMO.

I know Fralexandr replied with an article but personally I haven't found this to be true. I'll be honest and say I speed quite a bit, pass cops all the time and I haven't had a speeding ticket in over a decade. I do agree with the second point in that the resale value may be very so slightly less. People generally buy black, white and silver. That is very evident when you go to forums that have color threads for a car and you'll see less red posts.

Red is noticeable and people think it’s an alpha in there, male or female. Only group who might look ridiculous is a red sports car is a fat white female.
