Dude did you even see how fast they cleaned that place up after 9/11? I can't even clean my ROOM that fast!
Can empathize. When traversing the walkways of the city, have personally been known to audibly reflect (at times, loudly) that its is called a sidewalk, and not a sidestand for a reason. Also find a large number do not comprehend that stairwairs are intended to be travelled in two directions simultaneously, and that users of said stairways should always stay to the right - regardless of direction.Originally posted by: werk
The one thing that bugs me is people who don't know how to walk on busy sidewalks. NYC residents are just as guilty as this as tourists. Walking 3 or more side by side on a busy sidewalk, walking out of a storefront and just standing there, not walking straight down the sidewalk, stopping suddenly in the middle of the sidewalk....argh.
cultural mosaic vs. melting pot. get it right.Originally posted by: oboeguy

You're kidding, right? You know that they made the term "melting pot" for NYC, right?

I want to be clear that the people weren't actively evil or anything, they were just really crabby.
Well, I'll admit that I haven't talked to every person in New York. Maybe I just ran into the jerks, or maybe where I grew up has given me an unrealistic expectation of friendliness.Originally posted by: moshquerade
