Newbie Question On Staples

Hi all, this is my first post to this board and
I wanted to thank everyone who posts the great
deals. I ordered the Samsung 753DF at Staples
by phone. PM'd it to PageComputers and
attempted to use one of the various $30 off
$150 coupons. I had seen it posted here many
times that this could be done. The Csr stated
that the coupons were for online orders
only. I had never read that here, so I hemed
and hawed and finally made her mad enough to

give it to me. Is this true what she said? Or
was there something I did wrong? Would like to
know for future reference. Jackie

GeekGurl,
you probably used an "online-only" coupon. There *are* coupons for in-store and online, and there was a recent posting about that... so basically you used the wrong coupon.
Second of all, that PM stinks because Staples has the monitor for $209 or so, and Page with ground shipping comes to about 180, with the $30 off you end up at about 167 including tax.
For that you might as well hunt for a $40 off 200 coupon, use that, don't PM, lose $2.

My figures are not 100% accurate but close, I did the same thing.

BTW the monitor itself is awesome for the price... go for it.

The aholes on this board have really been coming out of the woodwork lately. I'd really like to see the mods start warning and banning people again who post all these In B4 the Lock posts, it's getting out of hand.

Most of the Staples coupon codes are online only. I haven't tried it, but I've read other people's posts that supposedly they have computers in the stores(maybe at the customer service desk) where you can go to Staples.com and place your order, using the appropriate coupon code. You can then print it out and have them pricematch it in the store. HTH.

Ok, GeekGurl, back to your question. Usually you can use online coupons when you order by phone. However, make sure you call Staples.com (800-3-STAPLE), not StaplesDirect.
