i dont think that what people believe to be the quietest fan, panaflos, should remain in a sticky thread. quiet panaflos just happen to have a large fanbase (haha no pun intended) in this forum. it is a great fan, with good cooling for the money and noise level. but it is not fair, in respect to the critical/analytical nature of this forum, to have all newbies immediately get the impression that panaflo is the solution for them without reading a few threads and drawing their own conclusion. it would be a lot easier for people to just pop in and see "best all around quiet fan: panaflo and model #" but i think you would be doing the case and cooling forum a great disservice - besides, we can't even seem to agree on the best choice. new fans are constantly coming out, and it's good that people keep asking the same question (although I wish they wouldnt ask it sooo often and not take the time to search previous recent threads) because new products keep popping up that deserve attention. oh well, my 2 cents.
oh yeah, the above statement was meant to apply to best choices for heatsinks, powersupplies, etc. also.
