I think what sets newegg apart is that they continue to keep an active role in their business. Like when there's a particular stepping of a processor that yields better overclocking results, they'll stock that stepping. And yes, that tells you something about their demographic too, the power user, aka Geek. I think their sales strategy is great customer service, and word of mouth advertising. They're the type of business that'll bite the bullet on an RMA, won't hassle you too much, and get you a replacement quickly, knowing that you'll tell your firends about newegg when they ask what's a good site to shop at.
