If the item description indicates the drive has a 1, 3 or 5 year warranty, Newegg will honor the warranty even if/when the manufacturer will not because some companies will not directly serve the end-user. You may notice for some hard drives in our inventory (depending on the make/model) that the manufacturer warranty and the Newegg warranty differ slightly. Generally this can be attributed to the fact that all of the drives we sell are OEM and the warranty information the manufacturer is advertising is likely for the retail version of the same model. As such, we can only guarantee the warranty period that is advertised in the individual Newegg item listing, not what is advertised on the manufacturer's website.
