Newegg..readon 9800

What happened to the radeon 9800 NON-pro at newegg?? I cant seem to find it and this is really making me sad cuz it seemed like such a good price at 250$ and i was going to get it for my new computer coming up.. I hope they didnt discontinue it or anything


But if they have discontinued it, are there any vid cards around that price range that perform just as well? maybe a geforce fx 5900 128mb?

monarch computers have it for $249... i'm thinking newegg ran out of them since they were selling much better than the pros.

you think newegg will get it back in stock anytime soon? I would personally like to get all my parts from newegg if possible, but if for sure newegg is never getting those back i guess i could go with monarch.

i don't know... they actually took it off their site so can't say really. if you have a bestbuy near you i think they still have the retail 9800np for $249... its in the Hot Deals forum. If you're in the LA, CA area... the Atwater Best Buy has 3 nps and 1 pro IIRC. Seems like most of them have the infineon memory though.

ATI stopped making them, because people were moddin them to be 9800 Pro's get it while it's in stock at monarch

How does the geforce fx 5900 128mb version compare the radeon 9800 non pro?? Its only for 237$ at newegg.

Smokes it in DX8, rolls over and dies in DX9 (with current drivers.... this may be resolved)

so, what are your guys opinions? should i try to gather some cash to get the radeon 9800 Pro? or the geforce fx5900 128mb version, it would be much more helpful if i could get the 128mb version and save the money, but if its that bad in dx9...it will be a waste in the future.
