Newegg redid their website

Newegg = Fail. Their customer service down right SUCKS. UPS lost my package and they want me to wait something like 2 weeks for UPS to finish their investigation. It's not like I could be lying or something, the tracking # has a exception saying they can't find the package.

So instead of just sending me a replacement right away, they wanted me to wait for the claims process to finish. Ummm no, how about you send a replacement and have UPS send the original back if you find it? Oh you can't do that? OK, thanks I'll go to Amazon.

Oh and on topic, the new page layout sucks. Giant white bars on the side? WTF?

I still like Newegg signed up for the free Newegg Premier Trial and was able to test a keyboard to see if I would like it. I did a lot of research before hand. I didn't really think the keyboard was worth the money.

So I cleaned it but it really wasn't dirty for being only used for a week or less. Then was able to get a free return shipping label and had my refund within a week.

No one else offers free returns like this that I know of.

aaaaaaaaand they have glitches that come with redoing the website... the shell shockers wont always load... then there there was this pop-up that was trying to load but the fade in was so slow that it would have taken atleast 30 seconds to load, so I closed after like 5 seconds but it the took another 5 seconds to fade out, meanwhile the site was not reachable...


They should have saved the 10 million dollar and given customers discount, that would have made then the king of Christmas season, wiping out a few competitions...

How do TWO seperate packages both go missing? Are you guys using invisible ink on your shipping labels? In 10 years of online shopping, I have had 0 missing packages out of probably a few hundred. Yet both newegg packages just literally disappear in transit? This is VERY VERY odd. The frustrating part is Newegg refuses to even look into it until this Friday even though it's obvious there is issues here.

Looks like it was made more mobile friendly.

I wish they just had auto-detection for mobile browsers instead of changing the main page.

Is it just me, or is it really annoying when companies do this? If they actually cared about customer service, they'd take care of it before you posted a complaint somewhere. I see posts like this as just an attempt at damage control and maybe an attempt to discredit the original poster.
Last Week Tonight mentioned the presence of companies on social media: It's like having a bunch of people gathered together for friendly/trolling discussion, but there are corporate reps wandering around trying to insert themselves into any of the various conversations.
"HEY GUYS HOW'S IT GOING? HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE NEW FEBREEZE SCENT? I HEAR IT'S REALLY GREAT!"

Wow, subtle. Thanks, sure, whatever, go away.

Maybe just observe and get a feel for what's going on out there, then report back.
"Hey, people at this here tech forum are having some issues. We might want to look into it."

However, in this case it's at least relevant to the discussion, and not a Newegg rep popping in to spam the thread with advertising.
Closing the loop properly would come on their end, ensuring that this feedback reaches the proper departments for evaluation and possible correction.

its still world better then amazons.

I still buy from NE but I often use it to find what I want and then buy on amazon. much easier to find based on specs alone on newegg when looking for parts IMO

I have not been able to beat the price at Amazon lately. Particularly now that they charge sales tax here. I have no brand loyalties though, and will jump on a great deal on any quality product. That may influence things a bit.

im the same way, best deal gets my money as long as the store is reputable

First thing I do when checking Newegg is select the "Newegg only" seller checkbox. I don't care who else is trying to sell on Newegg. Why do so many e-tailers think they have to be some kind of "marketplace?"

Sears does this too. Not that I ever buy there ...
