news on santa cruz????

My Asus A7V Athlon Soundblaster live 5.1 don't seem to be getting along together. Any suggestions? And what do you know about the Santa Cruz card?? Appreciate the help...

BTW I forgot to mention that this is a Windows Me machine. Also would you suspect that sound quality / cd readability would be deminished if I were using a CD-RW to play the games and music cd's...

I replaced my Diamond MX-300(Aureal 8830 chipset), which was running fine except no hibernation in WinME, with the Santa Cruz. Outside of a funky driver install, I'm very pleased with the sound quality. The card works fine with WinAmp and all my games. The card has D3D, A3D1, EAX 1&2, and Sensaura support. The only API it does'nt support is A3D2, but as Aureal has died, less and less games will use A3D2.
another cool thing is the "Versajack", which allows you to have a 6-speaker setup, and also does serves other functions, too many to list.
All in all, I'm pleased with this card.

The Santa Cruz is a nice card. Try checking out Philips Acoustic Edga card too. Another nice one.
