I'm interested in possibly upgrading my PC in a couple months (want to, but money is always an issue). I've been doing my best to keep up with the nForce since it was announced at Computex 2001 and have been very interested in it ever since.
My problem is that I haven't found very many favorable reviews. Also every review I've seen doesn't really cover what I'm interested in the board for. I don't play video games often, so I'm not really interested in that aspect of the board (<b>every</b> review I've seen has a gaming nias). I am also not planning on overclocking, so I don't care if it's a poor overclocker. What I am interested in about the board is the Dolby Digital audio (extremely interested in this), network performance with the MCP NIC, and overall system performance. If it's a little slower than competing motherboards, that's fine. Not everybody is going to get the same performance with the same board.
If I get an nForce I'll probably go with the MSI or Gigabyte because I don't like what ASUS has done with it and all the others seem to be micro-ATX. Inforormation on any nForce is welcome, but those two specifically is favorable.
Also, I again would like to emphasize that I am most interested in the nForce audio, which I have seen almost nothing about.
