Dear Doug Wilson, I hate you. Unless you sign Hossa, I will probably cry.
Hossa is a RFA. Start crying.
Maybe he mean his brother
Cheers,

Oilers signed Markkanen, that rocks. I think he's going to be really good.

I'm only happy because this is the first time our ultra small market team has ever even considered, much less actually signed, an elite level player.

..and Detroit resigned Chelios. November 21st is already marked on my calender.
I hope there are a couple of Preds that'll defend that little prick.
that's just wrong...Originally posted by: meltdown75

you and everybody else... man that team is racking in the talent... although its worrisome that it's all forwards (or offensive defensemen), they'll have no D yet again.

Not a problem, now that the Preds have Darcy Hordichuk instead of Jim McKenzie. Tootoo, if he's not sent down to Milwaukee, will probably lend a hand... or two.

We're definately focusing most of the attention on defense. I'm pretty excited about the upcoming season simply because our team has always been full of young talent and cheap veterans. I can't wait to see them perform in the presence of superstars who can only make them play even better.
Oh, I guess the other positive about the upcoming season is that there is actually an upcoming season.
Indeed Gonchar is all offense. The years where his +/- wasn't -20, he played with stay-at-home D-men just so he wouldn't be a real liability. The Pens do have Ric Jackman and Orpik who are stars on the rise as well as the underrated Tarnstrom. They've had a headstart on the rebuild years (as evidenced by the kids) and I'm jealous as can be now that all the pieces are together.Originally posted by: brikis98

he's very offensive minded. his definsive abilities are average. they need a real D presence, like a Pronger, Foote or a Stevens.
good question.Originally posted by: meltdown75
i could see someone having 20+ shootout goals this season without a problem. are they going to count them the same as regulation goals in terms of player point totals?

Shootout goals won't count towards a player's point total. I can't provide a link or anything as this is just something I heard on a talk radio show.
