I personally have no experience with surpluscomputers , but there is
a couple of people complaining about them in the brag&moan forum.

i am on their mailing list, and i buy all sorts of random gadgets from them...

so far no problems

The Das Keyboard is just a $15-$25 Keytronics keyboard with no labels on them. Save yourself $50 or whatever and buy one with labels. There are a few threads in Peripherals about this.

yea looks pretty ugly...but what about the weight zones? is that for real or all a gimmick?

besides that, it just looks like a blanked out keyboard

They're not like super special keyboards. I found out I'd been using one for the past few weeks at work and didn't even realize it. Nice to type on, but not mind blowing.
