book even better...a few things left out, like the hitchiker girl, her getting killed also, more memories of sheriff bell in the war...
Good movie, great book.. the simplicity of the dialog, the heaviness of humanity changing with the times, senseless violence, man against himself with Luellyn, man against God, man against man with Chegur...the plight rationalizing murder in Chegur's mind. characters were all likable. great pace with it as well.
go back to watching your anime and saw movies.
Thanks for assuming I like anime and Saw movies, but you're completely wrong about both. I really hate "Saw movies", or other typical Hollywood garbage. It seems like people just liked NCFOM because it's different from the typical Hollywood blockbuster, not because it was actually good.
I disagree with everything you said. The characters weren't that likable, and dialog was simple, but that's it, simplicity itself is not the same as being meaningful. What's the point of the killer going around killing people randomly? The whole point about fate was totally uninteresting. Oh really, our lives are driven by chance? I think I realized this by the time I was in 1st grade. Yes there was symbolism, but again, the movie as a whole was uninteresting, with lame plot, lame message. This almost gets lumped in with Quentin Tarrentino movies to me, retarded, but because it's different people take it as being clever, and love it.
There was nothing entertaining about it. There was plenty of violence if that's what I was into. This movie was trying too hard but had no substance.
My favorite movie, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?, is a Coen Bros. movie. I also liked Miller's Crossing.
