Hi-
Anyone heard of this?
I have a DLink DI-714P+ wireless router for cable which connects via network cabling to my main desktop system, which seems to run fine-although at times the Outlook Express program seems to malfunction, only DL'ing a few emails at a time then giving me an error message. When I try to get mail again, it does the same thing-DL's the same messages and then stops again. If I go to ATTBI's web site and DL the messages, it seems fine for a while.....
Anyhow, the main reason I visited the forum is that I cannot seem to connect to Hotmail with my laptop. Ity connects to the router with a DLink DWL-650+ wireless card, and seems to DL web pages OK. When I try to logon to Hotmail (https: site) I get a server error page. This also seems to occur for other pages requiring a logon. I have looked at every setting, lowered IE security settings without success.
In addition, I have tried to use DLink's setup/monitor program but cannot get Win XP to switch out of Window's setting up the connection. If I try to update the card driver via the DLink install program, I am asked if I want to remove the hardware-no option for updating the driver. I have done it by going into hardware properties and updating the driver y going directly to the program from that window.
I am running XP Pro ob my desktop and XP Home on the laptopn.
Long post-any suggestions?
Thanks!
