Noisy Power Supply Fan

Last week my power supply fan started making a horrendous noise. Can you replace these without buying a new power supply? If it dies, do I really need one on the power supply? There are two other case fans in my case.

it's real easy and cheap, but first off- give your existing powers supply fan a good cleaning fist and see if she quiets down

I decided to stop the fan temporarily, with a plastic stick. When I removed the stick, the fan started spinning again, quietly. So far so good. I guess maybe the fan was just a little off center or something? Better than replacing it for the time being...
