Actually, I go to Wilmington OFTEN! I absolutely love it and plan on living there later in life. As long as that Canary Island doesn't collapse and send a tidal towards the east coast.

Meh, 99.9% of Duke undergrad is from New Jersey anyway. We'll be glad to get rid of him.

Charlotte is supposed to be the number 2 financial place of the U.S. next to N.Y. It's okay here, though I prefer Chapel Hill or the Cary area.

yeah but I dont really like teh weather in general. I dont like the hot and humid in the summers. Plus i dont really care for the political climate nor the accent. I guess I'm not as laid back to appreciate life in the south. although I'll say Cary looks like a nice place to live

I was just reading about Cary... so I could relocate there!

We were looking to relocate back in 1981. Concentrated our search in the Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point area, but there were no jobs to be had. Now we've got boys who might not be too keen on moving, but there's not much keeping me here on the North Coast. Weather is the big issue with my wife, and cost of living is my concern.

NC it pretty nice. It's not "deep south hillbilly" but we do have a few.

The urban areas (Charlotte and Raleigh/RTP) are pretty progressive. Plus the beaches are great.

I'll probably move away again at some point.

lol. I'd love to live in Austin. I don't know about anyone else, but I love Texas.

Has anyone been to Winston Salem? How is it now? I remember going there when I was in 3rd grade! I really liked the old 1800's look of that city!
