I am just getting tired of all these 'AMD vs. Intel' threads. I don't think any processor is 'better' than the other.
Just make a decision. If it is based on price/performance or something else is up to each and everyone.
Got the money? Go Intel.
Wan't an AMD? Buy it
Transmeta? Why not for a laptop.
Cyrix (VIA)? Not for gaming, but office work - why not if the price is right
The P4 was obviously designed with a 'weaker' FPU and the way to make up for it is MHz. AMD will go .13micron and boost MHz. So what! The race is on. Hopefully we will benefit from the battle.
