OKe here goes the worst I've ever seen or experienced. I've spent 4 days trying everything I know to no avail. If my spelling is incorrect please ignore, I'm so pissed I can't stand it.
I was doing a system rebuild when WIN XP crashed on driver error. I was reloading a WD drive when it happened. I re-installed and made it through to the end but problems arose upon downloading all 57 updates from MS. (Keep in mind that I access my data drive to get two other drivers that were necessary to rebuild) The system blue screened again but this time wrote to my data drive (same model) and now if I have it in any system is will cause the system to continually reboot or blue screen depending on the arrangement.
It makes it through post (post recognizes the drive) and when windows starts it simple restarts or crashes with blue screen error NTFS.SYS stop 0X00000024 ( 0X001902FE, 0XF89B0814,0XF89B0510 , 0XF812E1FC ).
If I make the drive a slave and try to reboot with a good C or system drive the system reboots in a loop. If I change it back to master and use an ERD CD it will blue screen.
while in Master mode I can boot from some utility programs but they do not have chkdsk etc to repair the disk/file.
I have tried all kinds of recover, repartition programs and others to try to get to the drive to get the data off to no avail. Other programs tried are, Ultimate Boot CD which has a program called Partition Recovery will actually let me see all my data, but to recover the partition it says it's not valid. Partition Magic won't work as it?s not bootable.
Bottom line is, if I have it in a system set as master with no other drives, I can get Partition Recovery to analyize the drive but it stops there. I cannot get the data off of it or repair whatever it is that destroyed it.
I'm at a loss and have spent 4 days trying to get over this.
Thank you
Kent
