But that's at the cost of image quality.

@Tup3x I prefer native, but It looks like unless I want to break my piggy bank in the future, I need to live with upscaling.
That's under the assumption that native+FG is better image quality than upscaling. Pure native vs DLSS sure, but every second frame for native+FG is going to be generated and could very well be worse that an upscaled frame.

This is a very good question. Did anyone compare the quality using DLSS4 vs Native +FG? I found only this, but that doesn't answer what has the least impact on quality and It's still DLSS3 vs DLSS2.

am talking about something else.
I am comparing 5060Ti vs 4060Ti, they are specwise the same chips only 4060Ti has 2SM disabled.
Yet in CBP2077 you see 31.5% gain but in Doom Eternal only 3.3%. Why?

It's the memory bandwidth difference between the two cards. Doom Eternal wasn't bottlenecked here so the difference between them comes down to cores and clock speeds, where there's not as much of a gap.

The 4060 Ti only has 288 GB/s memory bandwidth due to using GDDR6 memory. Even though the 5060 Ti has the same 128-bit bus, the GDDR7 memory it has is over 50% faster. Clearly Cyberpunk was being heavily bottlenecked by the memory bandwidth of the 4060 Ti and the 5060 Ti has shifted that onto some other part of the card.

Ooh, Best Buy is (in theory) sold the 5090, 5080 and 5070 FE for MSRP today.

Scalpers be eatin good.
They had the B580 in stock for MSRP this morning too but I missed it. Tragedy! I've been looking for one of those on and off for months now.

You could be right, because against 3060Ti It manages +40% while having 35% more TFLOPs, but the same BW excluding the extra L2. Despite 4060Ti 8GB being BW starved, It still managed to be 32% faster than 4060 8GB or 6% faster than 3060Ti.
It looks like insufficient BW doesn't mean you won't gain more performance, just not as much as you should.

The funny thing is that 5060Ti is even faster than RTX 4070, despite having less TFLOPs and BW.

But I thought "DLSS is better than native" . I'm all for native personally but I also don't play the latest games.
Nothing beats native... Because DLSS can't beat DLAA. Since I prefer image quality over performance, it's a good thing that now it's pretty much always possible to force native DLAA in games that only offer DLSS. Some in game TAA implementations are so bad that native looks worse overall than even quality DLSS.

This is a very good question. Did anyone compare the quality using DLSS4 vs Native +FG?
I would argue that upscaling always beats TAA+FG in scenarios where either are needed to get good framerates and not just match monitors with high refresh rates (165Hz+).

What I would like to see done is an analysis of IQ scaling based on base framerate for both TAA and DLSS (or other upscalers). For example, is TAA quality the same at 30 FPS and 60-120 FPS? This was never really discussed, and my assumption here is quality should improve since all these soltions are using temporal accumulation.

Vex gets his hands on a 5060ti 16gb at Microcenter. No 8gb models in stock. None of the cards were going for msrp. Includes unboxing of the zotac card next to a train.

There's something about purchasing a new graphics card these days that just puts a smile on one's face. Sarcasm aside and moving on to irony, it would be quite refreshing to see more video thumbnails with straight faces (present motivation not included).

I think the best of news with the 5060 Ti launch is the industry will finally admit 8GB cards are entry-level only. Whether they manage to efficiently put 12GB on the cards or keep doing this 16GB dance... that's up to them.

No more stupid shocked or angry faces? I'm on board.

There are many issue threads in the Nvidia forums. Many of users with non-RTX50 cards.

I have issues as well with my RTX40 card. Some games won't even start or crash when loading a savegame. This is all before you actually enter a game and put load on the GPU. And I tested with card's default setting as well to exclude card instability reasons.
Really annoying. When I go back to 566.36 everything is fine.

You should have mentioned why he was doing it. Nvidia has evidently black listed him because they don't like his negative content. He cited poor communication and waiting until the last second to tell him he would not be getting sampled. He is angry and said they are radicalizing him. He should reach out to the big channels like HUB did years back.

Jay seems a bit miffed with Nvidia's new drivers and temp sensors.

Me too, also miffed at the industry in general for sacrificing quality and performance in gaming to pursue a bubble that is going to go off like a nuclear bomb pretty soon. Multitasking IS possible, NVIDIA/AMD/Intel.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that I have finally gotten back into Diablo 4, after giving up after the game launched (bought it day 1). The game ran perfectly for me since I started playing several weeks ago, until the last 2 driver drops. Now there are stutters. I'm on a 4090 with all details maxed out and DLAA/RT enabled. Performance was never a problem before the last two driver drops. The stutters eventually go away, but they are annoying enough that I wouldn't want to play as a hardcore character. No game patch was issued since I started playing, so this one is on NVIDIA.

That game has shader compilation stutter issue.
