I removed the older driver and installed the most updated version while in safe mode. Working so far.. hopefully it doesn't blue screen anymore :/

The computer is showing the same symptoms again... blue screens, or the driver fails, and the screens blink off and on, or they blink off completely and I have to restart the computer.

I was able to test a different monitor today (one with VGA that I could plug directly into the motherboard) and I was able to get signal through that means. Everything booted up and loaded properly. At this point I can confidently say that the most likely scenario is that my graphics card failed.

OP, the symptoms and steps you've taken to resolve your issue are almost identical to mine. I would be interested in finding out if a failing GPU is the cause of your issue as well. You can read through my posts to see all the troubleshooting steps I took, but at this point I feel that your issue may be identical to mine.

I'll update again once I install a new graphics card, hopefully soon!

I bought an extra power supply this weekend, and plugged up everything, the computer ran fine for about 2-3 mins.. then straight to a blue screen error message. So it is not a psu issue. Before that I uninstalled all the drivers in safemode. Then reinstalled everything in safe mode. Still the same issues. I am going to RMA the video card now with Amazon.

Any other suggestions before I do that?

**Thanks again all!!**

Went to Microcenter picked up the same gtx660 after I returned the psu.

Same issues.

So, they're all pointing to nvidia driver, which would seems to rule out the memory. Not much left outside the motherboard I would think.

Thats what I am thinking too.. I installed a driver from early 2013 and it is working so far. (Going to test it more when I get home after work) My last thought was to seat the video card into a separate PCI slot. See if I keep getting a blue screen. If so then RMA the motherboard I guess?

Sounds like a good plan.

New graphics card arrived today. No luck. The computer doesn't detect the card at all, and that's with trying both PCIe slots. It's very confusing, because everything else works correctly. I have my monitor plugged directly into the motherboard, everything boots just fine, no issues. I'm not sure why or how both PCIe slots would just stop working at the exact same time (one has remained out of use, tried it as well).

Only thing left at this point would be the motherboard, I guess.

Are you sure the monitor is looking for the correct input source (if different from the board)?

Monitor is working fine while plugged into the computer. Everything boots and loads, and I can log in and do stuff on the computer. The GPU is only thing not recognized (nothing shows up in Device Manager, unable to install drivers, integrated intel graphics only thing showing in dxdiag).

I had this problem constantly, also with black color filled windows, and solve it by removing my card GForce GT 630 and remove all DUST from fan. Put it back and bingo!! no more error messages. Working great! Also I installed the latest driver.
