Whatever happened to HBM1 though?
Whatever happened to HBM1 though?
It pretty much failed due to density.
Even better.1080 for 400USD will be great card.
Sorry to "Burst your bubble", but it has already been stated that the MSRP for GTX 1080 is $599. As in they can not, and will not be sold (new anyway) for anything below that.
DISCLAIMER! Not my listing! I have no affiliation with the person or person(s) selling this!
Disclaimer aside I just decided to search for "GTX 1080" in ebay, and this came up: http://www.ebay.com/itm/322104599282

Nvidia sells GPU's. A company that buys those GPU's and integrates them into a video card can sell that video card for as much or as little as they want.
If you like LEDs, this one should do it:

Heads up to all who uses more than 2 cards. Looks like the 1080 and 1070 only have official support for 2 way SLI. I stumbled upon this while searching about the high bandwidth bridge. The new bridge apparently uses both fingers on the cards.

I can confirm that the older SLI bridges will work, but the performance will not be as high as with the new bridge.
AdamK47 will be crushed
For what it's worth, async is not yet enabled on the 1080 in current drivers.
3-way and 4-way SLI has never had good scaling, 2-way on these new cards is INSANE.
Many GTX 1070s will do 10 GHz effective on the memory.
The memory on the 1070 is nicely overclockable, expect to see some hitting 10 GHz effective.
How about GDDR5X OC?how much it can OC?

The NVidia site shows the new 3-Way and 4-Way SLI bridges. I'm not sure why people think you can't do 3-Way and 4-Way when NVidia has new bridges for it.
