Way back when, a certain young president became enamored of the idea that this country could be the 1st to put a man
on the moon and this country entered a love affair with science that led to an explosion of technological advancements that made
this country number 1.
Tonight's speech reminded me strongly of JFK,I am hopeful that our current young president's strong support on developing clean energy and on R&D for things ike cancer cures will once again fuel and energize our high tech sector.
I was thinking that as well. I have high hopes for Obama.
Well, they do say Obama makes a great speech... to bad its policy that helps generate jobs.. not great speeches...
I was in school during the nation's great push to the moon, it was an exciting time to be a student, school boards spent money, there were monies put into science teachers, labs and a new fangled invention put out by a company called Apple.
The race to the moon, our desire to be there first.. the support of the president in achieving that objection led to such huge technological gains for this nation. If Obama
is serious about funding the R&D for the clean energy it will be the shot in the arm that we need.
Money put into furthering scientific knowledge is, imho the best stimulus plan going!
